Installing .NET

Later in this blog I will be describing some of the software applications I’ve written to support Spooky users with creation of presets for various protocols. These applications include Chain Editor, LymeTool, CancerTool, BFBTool, and the Morgellons and Lyme Grade Utility. Before you can install any of these applications, you must first install the .NET framework.

The .NET framework has been shipping with Windows ever since Vista, but often the framework is not installed by default. These applications use the .NET 2.0, which is nowadays embedded in .NET 3.5.

In the Windows 10 search bar, if you type Turn Windows features on or off, you will see a Control panel item appear in the search results. Click this result to start the Control panel. See the image to the right.

In the window that appears, tick .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) and click OK. This will probably download something from Microsoft, and then the framework will be installed

Now your Windows is set up to install the software applications mention earlier in this post.
